Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown units, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes. This role involves working with diverse patient populations in a fast-paced environment, requiring expertise in cardiac and critical care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor cardiac and general nursing care, including titrate drips and manage dysrhythmias.
• Perform peripheral line care, PICC line management, and routine assessments.
• Interpret and manage cardiac telemetry data, responding promptly to changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient progress accurately in electronic medical records (EPIC).
• Float between campuses as needed, maintaining flexibility and adaptation.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active nursing license with a minimum of 2 years of recent critical care or stepdown experience.
• Possess current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and peripheral line care.
• Be able to pass a compliance EKG exam with up to 2 attempts.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system required.
• No open licensing or background cases.
