Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care on a Medical Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills and adaptability to a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions through vital signs, BGM's, EKGs, and heart monitor application.
• Administer medications, including titratable drips such as heparin, Bumex, and Lasix, following protocols.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to ensure quality patient care and safety.
• Monitor telemetry systems and promptly report abnormalities to tele/monitor techs.
• Follow unit protocols for patient positioning, bathing, feeding, toileting, and turning.
• Troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including Ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP, and escalate issues as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with at least 1 year of acute care experience.
• Valid BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to titrate IV drips excluding cardiac medications unless specified.
• Flexibility to work 7a-7p shifts and support floating across units when necessary.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to operate within the multidisciplinary team.
