Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit, focusing on post-TPA stroke cases and other acute conditions. Deliver high-quality nursing services while adhering to facility protocols and ensuring patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, including TPA when appropriate, and monitor patient responses.
• Document patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and hospital regulations.

Qualifications:

• Possess an unexpired copy of a valid Driver's License for submittal.
• Hold a current Registered Nurse license in the relevant state.
• Demonstrate experience with stroke care, particularly NIHSS scoring preferred.
• Proficient in using EPIC electronic health record systems.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, travel or flexible scheduling environment.
• Able to manage a patient census of up to 35 beds in a high-acuity setting.
