Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to ortho/telemetry patients in a units with a focus on total joint replacements and fractures. Ensure high-quality patient care through effective assessment, planning, and execution of nursing interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care according to unit protocols, including orthopedics and telemetry.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, responding to abnormal findings promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, treatments, and interventions.
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care, mobility, and recovery.
• Adhere to infection control standards, especially regarding COVID-19 vaccination policies.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent orthopedic nursing experience, specifically in joint replacements and fractures.
• Valid driver's license with an address outside 50 miles from the facility.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have approved exemption.
