Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing for pediatric patients up to age 25 in a high-acuity PICU setting. Support the hospital’s mission to deliver exceptional patient outcomes through expert clinical practice.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor pediatric patients' condition, including neurological status, vital signs, and response to treatment.
• Administer medications, inotropes, and perform EKG assessments in accordance with physician orders.
• Recognize and respond promptly to abnormal cardiac rhythms and emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care strategies.
• Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, certification, and hospital policies, including holiday shifts.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio license or compact state license in hand at time of application.
• Possess at least 12 months of permanent experience in a PICU or epilepsy monitoring setting.
• Certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS; NIHHS certification preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EKG rhythm recognition and medication safety.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessments successfully during orientation.
• Be nicotine-free; negative drug screen within the past 12 months.
