Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to labor and delivery patients in a high-acuity environment. Coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective childbirth experiences, maintaining compliance with hospital standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care to laboring women, monitoring vital signs, fetal heart tones, and progress.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and progress in electronic medical records.
• Prepare and assist with various labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures as needed.
• Float to different units as required, including maternity and other designated facilities.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, including RTO submission and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum one year of labor and delivery experience; first-time travelers accepted.
• Proficient in Epic EMR system and pass a compliance EKG exam.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications; AWHONN Intermediate preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong clinical skills in high-acuity obstetric care and labor management.
