Job Summary:
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis. They collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient care and maintain compliance with departmental standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography exams with precision and adherence to protocols.
• Demonstrate competency in mammography positioning, compression, and technique factors.
• Ensure all radiographic images are properly labeled according to department SOP.
• Evaluate images for technical acceptability and transmit images to PACS promptly.
• Complete all studies accurately within the IDX system and record patient tracking information correctly.
• Maintain quality assurance standards and ensure compliance with MQSA regulations.

Qualifications:

• Possess New York State License of Diagnostic Radiography.
• Registered with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiography.
• Demonstrate proficiency in mammography positioning, compression, and imaging techniques.
• Maintain MQSA requirements and stay current with continuing education.
• Strong attention to detail and efficiency in workflow.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a healthcare team.
