Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients in a fast-paced hospital setting, ensuring patient stability and safety during recovery and monitoring procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor medications such as amiodarone and Cardizem drips for cardiac patients.
• Assess patient conditions regularly, including post-cath recovery, pacemaker management, and stroke care.
• Operate and troubleshoot telemetry equipment including Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allen vitals machines.
• Document patient information accurately in the Meditech electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current ACLS certification.
• Proven experience with cardiac telemetry, post-procedure recovery, and medication management.
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy, team-oriented environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to shift schedules, including weekends and on-call duties.
• Knowledge of Meditech EMR systems.
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a telemetry or related setting.
