Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides culturally relevant outpatient behavioral health treatment for individuals experiencing behavioral, emotional, and mental health disorders. Engages in evidence-based practices, including individual, group, family, and marital therapy, while supporting patients’ recovery and resilience.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts screening, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning using trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches.
- Delivers individual, group, family, and marital therapy tailored to client needs.
- Coordinates care, advocates for clients, and develops treatment reviews based on ongoing assessments.
- Provides crisis intervention services during clinic hours and shared rotating after-hours crisis support in rural clinics.
- Maintains accurate, timely documentation of services within electronic health records, including assessments, progress notes, and discharge plans.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members and community agencies to ensure comprehensive, client-centered care.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Be licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); or be enrolled in licensure, with supervision provided if not yet licensed.
- Demonstrate experience in behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across age groups.
- Possess knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and diagnostic evaluation criteria.
- Be proficient in crisis intervention, safety planning, and risk assessment, including suicide and self-harm risk.
- Hold valid Alaska Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
