Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides evidence-based, culturally relevant outpatient behavioral health treatment for individuals experiencing behavioral, emotional, and mental disorders. Engages in individual, group, family, and marital therapy, along with assessments, care coordination, and crisis intervention within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct culturally sensitive screening, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning to meet client needs.
- Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy for mental health and substance use disorders.
- Develop and review individualized treatment plans, incorporating mental health and substance use interventions.
- Provide crisis intervention services during clinic hours and shared rotating after-hours crisis support across multiple locations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record, including assessments, progress notes, and discharge plans.
- Coordinate care by collaborating with team members and community agencies to support comprehensive, individualized treatment.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Obtain and maintain licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- Demonstrate experience in behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Possess knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques for emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues.
- Ability to evaluate and manage risk for self-harm or suicide, and develop safety plans.
- Valid Alaska Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
