Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital environment, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and recovery through expert clinical interventions. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care on night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and assessments to medical-surgical patients following established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, assess symptoms, and promptly respond to changes in condition.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed records in compliance with facility policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care, medication management, and health maintenance.
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements, including BLS and ACLS certifications, and facility guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Have a minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience.
• Hold a valid Ohio license or compact state license in hand at the time of application.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration.
• Provide at least one recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the relevant specialty.
• Be able to pass ECG rhythm and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
