Job Summary:
The Med/Surg Tele RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a hospital setting, with potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and ED to care for the same patient population. This role involves managing ventilated patients and supporting hospital operations during winter coverage periods.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
• Monitor and recognize ECG rhythms, ensuring patient stability and safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and communicate patient status.
• Complete required documentation accurately within electronic medical records.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, including safety and infection control procedures.
• Maintain active certifications, including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, at all times.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 12 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele nursing, preferably within one facility or multiple locations.
• Hold a valid Ohio license or a compact license in hand at the time of application.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and complete assessment with acceptable scores during orientation.
• Be willing to work rotating 12-hour night and day shifts, including every other holiday.
• Provide at least one reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in the relevant specialty within the last 12 months.
• Maintain active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications upon submission.
