Job Summary:
Provide specialized care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) during night shifts, ensuring patients' stability and recovery. Collaborate with medical teams to deliver high-quality, complex care for children up to 25 years with critical conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor pediatric patients’ vital signs, neurological status, and response to treatment.
• Administer medications, including inotropes, and perform EKGs as required.
• Recognize arrhythmias and respond appropriately to ECG rhythm changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and hospital policy requirements.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and timely using facility systems.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio or compact state registered nurse license in hand at submission.
• Have a minimum of 18 months of recent pediatric ICU/permanent experience, including epilepsy monitoring and specialized pediatric care.
• Possess active BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, and recent EKG competency.
• Demonstrate proficiency in inotropes administration and rhythm recognition.
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores during orientation.
• Have at least one recent managerial reference from the past 12 months.
