Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care to adult patients with various post-surgical diagnoses, including abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity. The role involves floating across units and utilizing specialty equipment to support patient recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor adult patients' conditions, documenting findings accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments using IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Operate and troubleshoot specialty equipment to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies during 6:30 pm to 7:00 am shifts.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and documentation standards.

Qualifications:

• Active NY RN license with verification and at least 2 years of MS experience.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Proficient in using EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
• Demonstrated experience with post-surgical patient care.
• Able to work floating assignments and adapt to unit-specific needs.
• Valid driver’s license matching the current address, with willingness to travel if needed.
