Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring safety, comfort, and effective health management. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans aligned with patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized care plans by assessing patients' health status and collaborating with patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and other therapeutic measures to improve patient outcomes.
• Initiate emergency procedures, including resuscitative efforts, during critical situations in the absence of immediate physician involvement.
• Document patient observations, interventions, and responses accurately, ensuring clear and timely communication within the care team.
• Oversee and delegate tasks to LPNs and unlicensed personnel, providing guidance to support safe and efficient patient care.
• Maintain unit supplies and equipment, ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment conducive to high-quality care.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years' experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
• Proficient in using EPIC EMR and familiarity with CIEL BLUE scrub protocols.
• Ability to float to other MS units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and emergency response skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.
