Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit, focusing on neuro and trauma cases. Deliver high-quality patient support while monitoring and managing complex clinical needs.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care according to unit protocols, including neuro and spinal checks, chest tubes, and infusion therapies.
• Monitor patient vital signs and neurological status using Cerner EMR and appropriate equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Operate medical devices such as IV pumps, PCA pumps, Skylift, and chest tubes safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Qualifications:

• Hold valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in ICU, neuro, or trauma care.
• Possess current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Cerner.
• Exhibit strong clinical skills in neuro and trauma patient management.
• Showcase excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-focused disposition.
