Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown setting, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through clinical expertise and compassionate support.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans based on medical needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and monitor vital signs using bedside monitors and advanced equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate timely interventions.
• Document patient progress and clinical information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Respond swiftly to patient emergencies and manage complex procedures such as chest tube care and EEG monitoring.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a professional appearance consistent with dress code policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold current RN licensure with at least 2 years of recent inpatient experience in a PCU, IMC, or stepdown unit.
• Demonstrate proficiency in telemetry, neuro, and trauma patient care.
• Possess ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Have experience with bedside monitoring, end-tidal O2 monitoring, and chronic vent management.
• Show strong team-oriented interpersonal skills and adaptability to floating across inpatient units.
• Preferred: NHISS and TNCC certification.
