Job Summary:
Provide expert nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit, specializing in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units. The role involves monitoring critically ill patients and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Utilize bedside monitors, end-tidal oxygen monitoring, and high-flow vents for patient assessment.
• Document patient progress and interventions accurately in the Meditech EMR system.
• Respond swiftly to patient emergencies, including chest tube management and EEG procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and a minimum of 2 years hospital experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in telemetry and step-down care settings.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Preferred: Neuro or trauma unit experience.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Capable of performing routine procedures such as chest tubes and EEGs.
