Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist Pediatric provides specialized respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients, ensuring optimal airway management and ventilation support. This role involves delivering advanced therapeutic interventions, monitoring patient response, and collaborating with healthcare teams to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer aerosol therapies including nebulizers, MDI, DPI, and hyperinflation techniques.
• Manage airway clearance procedures such as clapping, vibration, cough assist, and airway suctioning.
• Initiate and monitor various ventilation modalities including mechanical, NAVA, NIV, High Flow Nasal Cannula, and Nitric Oxide therapy.
• Conduct blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation to guide patient care.
• Ensure proper operation and troubleshooting of ventilators, monitors, and associated equipment.
• Provide patient and family education on aerosol, inhaler, and oxygen therapies.

Qualifications:

• Hold current Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials.
• Proficient in neonatal and pediatric airway management, including intubation assist and tracheostomy care.
• Experienced in administering advanced respiratory therapies such as NIV, HFNC, and nitric oxide.
• Knowledgeable of clinical practice guidelines, asthma and CF care, and RDS management.
• Skilled in interpreting blood gases, capnography, and ventilator graphics.
• Ability to perform critical assessments in emergency and high-risk delivery settings.
