Job Summary:
The Operating Room RN will provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy, level-one trauma center. This role involves scrub and circulate duties across multiple surgical specialties, supporting high-tech, fast-paced procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Assist in surgical procedures by providing skilled scrub and circulating support.
• Ensure patient safety by adhering to established protocols, including radiation safety and trauma protocols.
• Maintain sterile fields, operate surgical equipment, and monitor patient condition throughout procedures.
• Document all nursing interventions accurately in the EPIC charting system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth surgical workflows and respond to emergent situations.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active state license (SC or multi-state/compact RN license).
• Possess BLS certification; Radiation Badge preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent OR nursing experience highly preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in scrub and circulating techniques, with trauma experience preferred.
• Ability to float within scope and work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Be willing to work in a high-volume, dynamic surgical environment.
