Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy level-one trauma center, supporting various surgical specialties including trauma, transplant, ortho, neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotic procedures. Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgeries in a fast-paced, nurse-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care to surgical patients.
• Assist with and perform scrub and circulating duties during surgical procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with safety protocols across all OR suites.
• Communicate effectively with surgical teams to coordinate patient care and address needs promptly.
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding on-call duties, holidays, and floating to meet unit demands.
• Document all patient interactions and procedures accurately within EPIC.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Possess at least 2 years of OR nursing experience, with scrub experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; Radiation Badge must be provided by agency.
• Experience working in Level 1 trauma or transplant settings highly preferred.
• Demonstrate ability to perform scrub and circulate functions competently.
