Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care/Progressive Care Unit (IMC/PCU/Stepdown), focusing on patients with complex medical conditions requiring close monitoring and advanced interventions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ clinical needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Titrate and manage titratable drips such as Cardizem, Labetalol, and Amiodarone in accordance with physician orders.
• Monitor patient vitals, interpret EKG strips, and utilize telemetry for continuous cardiac monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments while maintaining compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with current state licensure.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU, PCU, or step-down experience in a Level 1 trauma center.
• Ability to perform accurate assessments and adapt quickly to a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation and medication titration.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills essential for team-based care.
