Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced and adaptable RN to provide high-quality care on a 29-bed stepdown/med-surg unit under construction. The nurse will manage diverse patient needs, including medical diagnoses, with an emphasis on accurate titration of drips and collaborative team support.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and titrate IV drips such as Heparin, insulin, anti-hypertensives, and narcotics according to written orders.
• Monitor patients utilizing remote telemetry systems and respond promptly to alarms or changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to ensure optimal staffing and patient care delivery.
• Maintain compliance with all safety protocols, including certifications like BLS and ACLS.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
• Provide patient education and support to promote recovery and adherence to treatment plans.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Must have EPIC electronic medical record experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in med-surg and stepdown patient care, managing 6 and 3 patient loads respectively.
• Experience with ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, HiFlow, and titratable IV medications preferred.
• Ability to handle complex medical diagnoses and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
