Job Summary:

Provides specialized respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including infants through geriatrics, with a focus on adult respiratory therapy. Ensures patient safety and comfort through skilled assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities:

• Administer non-invasive and conventional ventilation therapies to patients based on physician orders.
• Perform bedside pulmonary function tests, including spirometry, and interpret results.
• Manage arterial lines, draw arterial and capillary blood gases, and monitor oxygen levels.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment use.
• Assist with aerosol therapy, bedside pulmonary assessments, and patient positioning.
• Collaborate with medical teams to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans.

Qualifications:

• Valid GA or Compact Respiratory Therapist license required at time of application.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical respiratory therapy experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
• Trauma experience and proficiency with ventilator management necessary.
• Familiarity with hospital systems such as Epic, Pyxis, SBAR, and Viasys Vela preferred.
• Strong patient assessment and communication skills.
