Job Summary:
The RN - Ambulatory Radiation Oncology Clinic provides specialized nursing care for oncology patients undergoing radiation therapy in an outpatient setting. The role involves assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and supporting overall patient well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ physical, emotional, and educational needs related to cancer treatment.
• Develop and coordinate individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Administer radiation treatments, medications, and manage treatment side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, symptom management, and self-care strategies.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy and document clinical information accurately.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care.

Qualifications:

• Possess a current New York State RN license.
• Hold an active BLS certification.
• Have oncology experience, preferably within radiation oncology.
• Possess brachytherapy experience and PALS certification preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
• Exhibit excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy capabilities.
