Job Summary:
The Ambulatory Oncology LPN is responsible for providing direct patient care and clinical support within a hematology outpatient clinic that specializes in treating patients with sickle cell disease and thrombosis disorders. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient intake assessments and document clinical information accurately.
• Obtain and record vital signs and perform point-of-care testing.
• Administer vaccines and collect laboratory specimens per protocol.
• Assist healthcare providers with patient care coordination and education.
• Maintain compliance with clinic policies and ensure proper documentation.
• Support the interdisciplinary team in delivering patient-centered treatment.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Proven experience in outpatient or hematology clinics preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Ability to perform point-of-care testing and administer vaccines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
