Job Summary:
The Oncology Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatments and therapies. This role involves administering medications, monitoring patient responses, and educating patients and families on treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion therapies safely and accurately.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status during treatments and respond to any adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about treatment procedures, side effects, and self-care techniques.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and clinical observations.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and institutional policies for outpatient oncology care.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with relevant state board.
• Minimum of 2 years recent outpatient oncology and infusion experience.
• Certification in Chemo and Oncology Nursing (ONS) required.
• Proficiency in peripheral IV insertion, port, fistula, and catheter management.
• EPIC electronic medical records experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; Chemotherapy certification preferred.
