Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMU), supporting patients with acute but stable conditions requiring close monitoring and intervention. Collaborate with medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes through skilled assessments and treatments.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to IMU patients, including routine assessments and vital sign monitoring.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips to detect arrhythmias and communicate findings to physicians.
• Titrate IV drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetolol, Nitro, and Heparin, as ordered.
• Manage respiratory equipment, including high-flow oxygen devices and Bipap machines, coordinating with RT staff.
• Document patient status, care provided, and responses accurately in the EMR system.
• Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, adhering to unit protocols and standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Able to read and interpret telemetry strips accurately.
• Experienced in titrating IV medications and managing ventilator support.
• Comfortable working with telemetry monitors and respiratory therapy equipment.
• Flexible with weekend, holiday, and shift rotation requirements.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced ICU environment.
