Job Summary:
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures to facilitate diagnostic interpretation. They deliver patient education, ensure safety standards, and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Operate mammography imaging equipment following manufacturer guidelines and departmental protocols.
• Perform diagnostic mammograms, U/S, and other breast imaging procedures with precision and care.
• Verify patient identity, review medical history, and obtain informed consent prior to procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, procedures, and supplies in the electronic health record system.
• Conduct quality assurance activities, including daily equipment checks and preventative maintenance.
• Stay current with industry standards, acquire additional certifications as needed, and participate in training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 90 days.
• At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Preferred to have 2+ years of mammography experience and experience with electronic records such as PACS and RIS/HIS.
