Job Summary:

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality breast imaging procedures to facilitate accurate diagnostic interpretation. They ensure patient education, maintain regulatory compliance, and uphold safety standards across all mammography services.

Responsibilities:

• Operate mammography equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and department protocols.
• Maintain quality assurance by completing daily QA checks and preventative maintenance.
• Verify patient identity, review medical history, and obtain informed consent prior to procedures.
• Document all patient interactions, procedures, and equipment logs accurately within electronic health records.
• Adhere to all FDA regulations, radiation safety standards, and ALARA principles.
• Assist in training and mentoring imaging staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willing to obtain within 90 days.
• Minimum of two years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably with breast imaging.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mammography imaging procedures and safety protocols.
