Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist provides specialized respiratory care to patients under medical direction, supporting evaluation, treatment, and management of cardiopulmonary conditions. They collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and supportive equipment according to department policies.
• Assist with intubation procedures and manage ventilators for adult and ICU patients.
• Collect patient data, perform testing, and consult with healthcare professionals to assess patient needs.
• Educate patients and caregivers on disease management and therapy protocols, documenting findings accurately.
• Maintain compliance with organizational standards and safety protocols.
• Float between adult ICU, intermediate care, and other relevant clinical areas as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as a licensed Respiratory Therapist.
• At least 1 year of ICU experience, with prior ventilator management skills.
• Current IL license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and NBRC RRT certification.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing patient needs and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and accountability for patient safety and care.
