Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist provides specialized respiratory care and support to patients under the supervision of medical and departmental leadership. This role involves assessing patient needs, administering therapies, and ensuring optimal respiratory function in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor respiratory therapies under medical direction to support patient recovery and respiratory function.
• Assist with intubation procedures, ventilator setup, and management to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Collect patient data, including medical history, test results, and consultations, to evaluate respiratory needs accurately.
• Educate patients and caregivers on disease management, treatment plans, and respiratory therapy procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document all care activities and patient responses thoroughly and accurately.

Qualifications:

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Possess current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license.
• Certification in BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS is required.
• Maintain NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills, adaptability, and excellent communication.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant respiratory therapy experience preferred.
