Job Summary:

TRAVEL- RN - MED SURG - COST CENTER (610) - 7:00PM - 7:00AM provides skilled nursing care to a high-acuity mixed medical-surgical population with strong emphasis on ortho/spine, trauma, and procedure-related patients. The RN delivers safe, evidence-based care, prioritizes effectively, and collaborates with a supportive interdisciplinary team to ensure positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients, monitor clinical status, and identify changes requiring escalation.
• Prioritize care based on acuity, diagnoses, and ordered therapies.
• Administer medications and therapies, ensuring safe use of devices and equipment.
• Perform and coordinate post-procedure and specialty unit care, including time-sensitive interventions.
• Document care accurately in Meditech and maintain compliance with clinical standards.
• Communicate clearly with team members and leadership to support continuity of care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and maintain compliance with all licensure requirements.
• Possess current BLS certification; obtain ACLS if required by facility policy.
• Provide at least 1 year of Medical/Surgical RN experience (or equivalent acute care experience).
• Demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in fast-paced settings.
• Exhibit effective time management and the ability to learn unit workflows quickly.
• Work effectively as a team player with a professional, positive, and self-starting attitude.
