Job Summary:

BACKFILL - TRAVEL - RN - CARDIAC MED/SURG - COST CENTER (624) is a Travel Registered Nurse role supporting cardiac-focused medical-surgical care. The RN will provide safe, patient-centered nursing across the full care continuum, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac and medical-surgical patients in accordance with the care plan
• Monitor vital signs, telemetry-related parameters, and patient symptoms, escalating concerns promptly
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform prescribed treatments while ensuring medication safety
• Perform patient assessments, document clinical findings, and communicate changes to the care team
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to support continuity of care
• Support patient education for disease management, discharge planning, and aftercare instructions

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing
• Possess at least 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing
• Demonstrate proficiency with cardiac/telemetry monitoring and recognition of clinically significant changes
• Maintain current BLS certification and comply with facility required competencies
• Show strong skills in assessment, critical thinking, and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment
