Job Summary:

Travel - RN - MED SURG - COST CENTER (613) provides direct patient care for individuals requiring medical-surgical services. The RN coordinates assessment, treatment, and interdisciplinary communication to support safe, high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients, collect vital signs, and evaluate condition changes in real time.
• Administer prescribed medications, IV therapy, and treatments according to clinical standards.
• Perform nursing procedures including wound care and postoperative or telemetry monitoring as applicable.
• Coordinate care with physicians, charge nurses, and allied health staff to ensure continuity.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license with eligibility for travel placement.
• Possess 2+ years of acute care Medical Surgical nursing experience.
• Demonstrate competency in IV therapy, medication administration, and patient monitoring.
• Apply strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in fast-paced settings.
• Maintain current BLS certification and complete facility-required training as assigned.
