Job Summary:


The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides respiratory care services to patients, supporting assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention across the care continuum. The role includes responding to emergent needs, delivering advanced life-support therapies, and maintaining compliance with clinical and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient respiratory status and interpret related clinical information to determine appropriate therapy.
  
• Deliver and manage ventilator and oxygen therapy, including adjustments based on patient response.
  
• Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and follow evidence-based protocols to support recovery.
  
• Perform arterial blood gas collection and analysis as ordered, reporting results to the care team.
  
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and assist with airway management and advanced life-support interventions.
  
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure equipment, infection control, and safety procedures are followed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Hold a current RRT credential (per role standards).
  
• Maintain active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  
• Possess SC State Licensure with eligibility to practice in South Carolina at time of submission (no pending licenses).
  
• Bring at least 2 years of relevant respiratory therapy experience (or 1 year if otherwise stated).
  
• Demonstrate proficiency with adult and pediatric respiratory therapies, including critical care support.
  
• Provide required supervisory references upon request.
