Job Summary:
Provide adult critical care respiratory therapy services for a busy inpatient environment, delivering advanced ventilatory support and monitoring for complex cardiopulmonary cases. Apply strong clinical judgment to manage airway, oxygenation, and ventilation needs while partnering with the care team to support safe, effective outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ respiratory status and recommend appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Perform ventilator management, including troubleshooting, settings adjustment, and oxygenation/ventilation monitoring.
• Deliver airway clearance therapies and administer prescribed respiratory treatments as ordered.
• Monitor ABGs and other relevant indicators, escalating concerns promptly.
• Conduct therapy documentation and charting in Epic according to clinical workflow requirements.
• Coordinate care with nursing and providers to support critical care plans and patient stabilization.

Qualifications:

• Hold NBRC RRT certification.
• Maintain active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Possess at least 2 years of adult critical care experience.
• Obtain an SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) credential as required, with SC RRT licensure in hand at start.
• Demonstrate competency with adult ICU-level respiratory modalities, including complex ventilatory support.
• Ability to float within adult scope as needed to meet facility requirements.
