Job Summary:
Adult RRT will provide respiratory care to critically ill patients in an adult critical care setting, supporting ICU and step-down needs. The role requires independent assessment, ventilator management, and timely documentation to ensure safe, evidence-based treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ respiratory status and interpret clinical findings to guide therapy.
• Manage mechanical ventilation and advanced respiratory support therapies within scope of practice.
• Perform airway management and deliver oxygenation/ventilation interventions as ordered.
• Administer and titrate respiratory medications and therapies according to protocols.
• Monitor treatment response and adjust care plans based on ABGs, oxygenation, and work of breathing.
• Document care and charting in Epic to maintain accurate, timely clinical records.

Qualifications:

• Hold NBRC RRT certification.
• Maintain BLS and ACLS certification.
• Possess at least 2 years of adult critical care experience (ICU/critical care preferred).
• Hold or be able to obtain an active SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider) credential at start.
• Demonstrate competency with adult ventilator management and critical care respiratory workflows.
• Exhibit strong ability to function independently and collaborate with the clinical team during high-acuity care.
