Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care on the HVTI-Stepdown unit, supporting patient recovery and stabilization. The role involves flexibility to float to related units to ensure optimal patient care delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, and assessing clinical status.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to abnormal ECG rhythms and patient emergencies.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans.
• Comply with all licensing, certification, and hospital safety requirements, including shift rotations and holiday coverage.

Qualifications:

• Hold a permanent Ohio nursing license or active compact state license in Hand; valid and in good standing.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of recent, perm experience in stepdown or progressive care units.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration.
• Active American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Successfully pass orientation assessments including ECG recognition and safeMedicate.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
