Job Description
Job Summary:
The Certified Medical Assistant at Antrim Medical Group provides clinical support under direct supervision, assisting healthcare providers with patient care procedures and administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws, injections, child immunizations, lab tests, and other procedures within the scope of MA certification.
- Assist physicians during examinations by monitoring vital signs and preparing patients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organize exam rooms, ensuring supplies are stocked and available.
- Manage patient communications, including taking and returning phone calls as directed.
- Document patient information accurately, including referral forms and lab slips.
- Support patients before, during, and after procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding.
Qualifications:
- Hold at least 2 years of formal Medical Assistant training or certification.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a clinical setting.
- Maintain valid Medical Assistant certification.
- Obtain and provide documentation of BLS (AHA) certification.
- Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Exhibit emotional stability and discretion in handling confidential patient information.
