Job Summary:

Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care by performing clinical and administrative tasks. Ensure smooth patient flow and maintain accurate medical records in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture, EKGs, and collect specimens to support diagnostic procedures.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, taking vital signs and providing patient instructions.
• Complete clerical duties including managing charts, obtaining lab reports, and updating patient records using EMR systems.
• Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and restock supplies in accordance with infection control policies.
• Schedule appointments, verify insurance information, and process pre-authorizations as needed.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and compliant work environment following all legal and institutional regulations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program.
• Possess BLS certification issued by the AHA.
• Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• High school diploma or GED required.
