Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive patient care and clerical support in a clinical setting. Assists physicians, manages patient flow, and ensures smooth daily operations to enhance patient experience and clinic efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture, EKGs, and other clinical procedures as assigned.
• Check schedules, organize patient flow, and assist patients with walking, transfers, and dressing.
• Collect, process, and prepare specimens for testing, including point of care procedures.
• Support physicians during examinations and procedures, relay instructions to patients and families.
• Manage medical records, update patient information, and coordinate appointment scheduling.
• Maintain proper sterilization, inventory, and storage of medical supplies and medications.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Medical Assistant certification from an approved program.
• Certification in BLS from the AHA is required; Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Demonstrate competence in clinical skills including venipuncture and EKGs.
• Possess excellent communication skills for effective interactions with diverse patient populations.
• Be proficient in medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
• High school diploma or GED required, with completion of an accredited Medical Assistant course.
