Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit for a 48-hour contract. The ideal candidate will have recent SD/PCU experience with vent management and be able to perform in a high-acuity, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Neuroscience/High-Risk Respiratory unit.
• Demonstrate proficiency with vent management, high-flow heated devices, and bipap support.
• Complete required competencies, including online EKG tele assessment and certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and NIH.
• Float between units as needed, supporting the nursing care team and adhering to staffing assignments.
• Document clinical observations accurately within the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate within team nursing models to optimize patient outcomes and workload management.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in any state; a temporary license may be applied for upon offer.
• Minimum of 1:5 ratio clinical experience in SD or PCU, with ICU experience not counting toward this.
• Recent vent management experience required.
• Ability to pass online EKG tele competency assessment prior to start.
• Travel nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in high-acuity and neuro patient care.
