Job Summary:

Seeking a highly skilled RN for a 13-week contract in a complex care unit specializing in Medical Surgical and Telemetry. This role involves managing diverse patient diagnoses, including orthopedics, long-term care, and complex medical cases, in a tertiary care hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive patient care for complex medical and surgical cases, including orthopedics and long-term patients.
• Monitor telemetry equipment, including pacemakers and other cardiac devices, ensuring patient safety.
• Administer blood products, manage central lines, PICC lines, and start IVs following protocol.
• Utilize EPIC charting system proficiently for documentation and patient management.
• Respond to rapid response and code team activations, demonstrating quick critical thinking.
• Follow strict isolation precautions and perform wound care, including wound vac management.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New York RN license in hand, with no exceptions.
• Possess at least 2 years of registered nurse experience in a hospital setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC charting and telemetry monitoring.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are required; NIHSS must be included in submittals.
• Experience with complex long-term and MedSurg patient care required.
• Ability to work 3x12 night shifts and float as needed, with flexible scheduling.
