Job Summary:

Seeking experienced registered nurses for Medical Surgical/Telemetry units with expertise in phlebotomy and IV placement. These roles require proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and management, along with delivering high-quality patient care for cardiac and stroke patients.

Responsibilities:

• Perform phlebotomy and IV placements as essential nursing skills.
• Monitor and assess patient vital signs, blood glucose levels, and EKG readings.
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, responding with appropriate interventions.
• Utilize rapid response teams and implement infection prevention protocols.
• Administer oxygen therapy via nasal cannula, face masks, and portable tanks.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health record system.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid NY State RN license in hand.
• possess at least 1 year of recent clinical experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
• Be BLS certified and available for on-call rotation.
• Able to perform peripheral line care, airway management, and use of special equipment.
• Ability to float between units including MS, ICU, and ED as needed.
