Job Summary:
The CVICU RN is responsible for providing specialized intensive care to cardiac and neuro patients within a 12-week assignment. The role requires monitoring, assessment, and collaboration to ensure optimal patient outcomes during critical phases of recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive bedside care to cardiovascular and neuro patients, adhering to evidence-based protocols.
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage ventilators and other life-support equipment.
• Monitor patient vitals, interpret telemetry data, and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient progress accurately within Epic electronic charting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Adhere to hospital policies on float requirements, holiday rotations, and emergency response during hurricane season.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active South Carolina or Compact nursing license prior to start.
• Minimum of 1-year recent experience in Cardiac and Neuro ICU settings.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
• Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system and telemetry monitoring.
• Ability to work night shifts (7pm-7am) and participate in holiday rotation.
