Job Summary:

The CVICU RN will provide specialized care to cardiac and neuro patients within an acute care setting. This position requires delivering advanced nursing interventions during night shifts with rotating holiday schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive cardiac and neuro patient care adhering to established protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to critical changes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient progress accurately in Epic electronic charting system.
• Participate in rotating holiday and weekend shifts, including on-call duties where applicable.
• Float within scope to meet unit or facility needs, ensuring quality care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid South Carolina or Compact RN license prior to start date.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent CVICU or critical care nursing experience, preferably 2 years.
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications; NIHSS preferred.
• Demonstrate strong cardiac and neuro assessment skills.
• Be able to work night shifts (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) on a 3x12 schedule.
• Show ability to adapt to flexible scheduling and floating requirements.
