Job Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates, diagnoses, and rehabilitates patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders. They develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with regulatory and clinical standards to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients using standardized tools and evidence-based practices to determine communication and swallowing needs.
• Develop and execute comprehensive treatment plans, adjusting interventions based on patient progress and referral outcomes.
• Provide counseling and educational support to patients, families, and caregivers regarding speech and swallowing disorders.
• Document patient assessments, treatment sessions, and discharge summaries accurately within electronic health records, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care, attend multidisciplinary meetings, and communicate patient progress.
• Support and supervise CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold active ASHA CCC-SLP certification and state licensure in Missouri.
• Possess at least 1 year of clinical experience as an SLP; new graduates with Level II experience accepted.
• Demonstrate experience in LTC or rehabilitation settings.
• Be knowledgeable of ASHA and state practice acts, ethical guidelines, and documentation standards.
• Maintain active state licensure and meet all submission requirements.
