Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement patient care in accordance with departmental protocols and standard practices.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and care activities accurately within the Cerner system.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, utilizing advanced trauma and stroke care skills.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of clinical experience, including 1 year in an ER setting.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications.
• Proven ability to work effectively in high-volume, trauma, and stroke centers.
• Strong team player with excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Flexibility to work every other weekend and float within the ED as needed.
