Job Summary:
Provide specialized emergency care to critically ill and injured patients in a fast-paced hospital ED setting. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate care while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient conditions upon arrival, determining urgent needs for treatment.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and utilize advanced monitoring equipment in line with clinical protocols.
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner electronic health records, maintaining compliance with policies.
• Collaborate with team members, providing coaching and feedback to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Respond effectively to trauma, stroke, and behavioral emergencies in a Level II trauma center.
• Maintain certifications and stay current with skill requirements such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NC RN license.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a Level 2 trauma center or high-volume ED.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and the ability to work across all areas of the ED.
• Have current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC within required timeframes.
• Show proficiency with ED equipment such as GE monitors and Baxter pumps.
• Flexibility to work every other weekend and potential float within ED sections.
